The Foundation for Advanced Computer Studies (FACS) is a non-for-profit research and application institution, which deals with education, software and consultancy in the field of computer science.

News

New FACS board members

Jan Gliński has an over 30 year experience as a manager, which he gained mainly in multinational high-tech corporations in South America, Asia and Europe. He was directly responsible for the P&Ls of the projects with over one milliard euro turnover. In the early 1990`s he was a cofounder and chancellor of a highly innovative Polish and French University Wyższa Szkoła Nowych Technik Informatyczno-Komunikacyjnych w Poznaniu. In 2008 he founded Missions & Ventures in Singapore where together with an independent group of highly experienced practitioners in business he supports setting up and further development of both financial and technological companies. As of July 2012 he is a vice-chairman of the FACS foundation. 
        

Andrzej Leszek Zeibel has ten years experience as a financial manager / CFO of international companies (including the structure of the holding). Responsible for accounting and taxes (including tax optimization), administration, legal affairs, IT and purchasing. Experience in combining and subsequent integration of the companies. experience in the implementation of the new accounting, human resources and payroll system. Experience in managing teams of more than 20 employees and working for companies nationwide (more than 10 units, the structure of multi-level) and employing up to 9,000 people.

About FACS

The Foundation for Advanced Computer Studies (FACS) is a non-for-profit research and application institution, which deals with education, software and consultancy in the field of computer science, in particular in the domain of knowledge mining, multimedia information systems, database management systems and the Internet.

Goals

FACS supports young researchers, in particular it sponsors preparations of "promising" Ph.D. theses and organizes professional competitions. FACS can also design and implement information systems of various types, knowledge systems, library management systems, and educational systems.


Asset

The main asset of FACS is its permanent staff and a pool of consultants working for FACS on a contractual basis. All of them are highly qualified computer specialists and lecturers in system analysis and evaluation, design, software implementation, training, Internet, etc.
